Instructions and Technical Support
Technical support is provided to original purchasers of S1 Sequential products. To help us resolve your enquiry quickly, use the contact form with your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs of the gearbox and shifter with anything you suspect highlighted. Support is limited to products sold by S1 Sequential.
Before contacting us
- Check the instructions. Most issues are resolved by re-checking the installation steps for your kit below.
- Gear engagement. The gearbox internals may need to be rotated slightly to allow a gear to engage. This is normal with any shifter; a sequential shifter simply makes partial engagement noticeable where an H-pattern would not.
- Clutch drag. Almost all shifting problems, including grinding into reverse or the vehicle creeping as reverse is engaged, are caused by a clutch that is not fully disengaging, often worsening as the vehicle warms up. Check clutch adjustment and hydraulics first.
